Hope After Suicide Loss
The group meets continuously throughout the year, twice a month on the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month from 6:00-7:30 p.m.
This group is open to anyone (18+) who has, at any time, lost a family member or friend to suicide. American Foundation of Suicide Prevention peer facilitator-trained.
We ask that new members text or email the contact person before their first meeting.
The group meets in the Community Room on the second floor at SECU Family House. It is accessible via elevators located through the main lobby and living room area. There is no cost to attend.
The SECU Family House
As people who have lost a loved one to suicide, we understand and sympathize with others who experience this tragic, sometimes complicated, and often traumatic death. It could be one week or 10 years since the loss but being in a room with others who relate can be an integral part of your healing and an effective way to rediscover hope. There is no expectation for a visitor or new member to speak, and discussion is kept confidential.
