The Summit brings together 20 leading experts in mental health and suicide prevention for live webinars, Q&A sessions, and continuing education opportunities, with a mission to strengthen the frontline workforce best positioned to reduce suicide rates.
Annual Awards
The American Association of Suicidology recognizes outstanding contributions to suicide prevention, intervention, research, and advocacy through its Annual Awards program. Since 1971, AAS has honored hundreds of individuals and organizations whose innovation, leadership, and lived experience have advanced the field and strengthened communities.
Annual Conference
The American Association of Suicidology’s Annual Conference is the field’s premier venue for translating suicide prevention research into practice, convening researchers, clinicians, and crisis service leaders to share emerging evidence and evaluate its real-world application.
Paul G. Quinnett Lived Experience Writing Competition
Since 2015, the American Association of Suicidology, in collaboration with the QPR Institute, has invited suicide attempt survivors to submit personal essays reflecting on survival, hope, and recovery from suicidal ideation and attempts. These narratives deepen public understanding of suicide survivorship and contribute to more informed conversations within the field of suicide prevention.
